Dr. Wasicko is an associate with the firm, and he practices primarily in the areas of products liability and medical malpractice.
After obtaining his Ph.D. in 1989, Dr. Wasicko held faculty positions at Dartmouth Medical School and Johns Hopkins Medical School. There, he performed basic science and clinical research in the areas of cardiovascular and respiratory physiology. Specifically, his research focused on the mechanisms of such diseases as obstructive sleep apnea, Sudden Infant Death syndrome and cystic fibrosis. During that time, Dr. Wasicko published articles in peer-reviewed journals and gave numerous presentations on his work at national and international scientific meetings.
In 2000, Dr. Wasicko joined MedImmune, Inc. as a Drug Safety Monitor in the Regulatory Affairs department. There, he had the responsibility of capturing the adverse events for several drugs and reporting those events to the FDA. In addition, Dr. Wasicko participated in the drafting of regulatory submissions to the FDA. Finally, Dr. Wasicko was instrumental in coordinating Regulatory, Medical and Marketing groups for the implementation of a standard operating procedure for reporting adverse events.
