Mr. Lisak, a partner with the firm, has a national practice in products liability litigation. He is actively involved in the defense of claims against Bayer Corporation throughout the United States. This representation includes serving as national counsel concerning allegations by plaintiffs that they contracted AIDS and/or hepatitis-c from blood products, as well as in cases alleging personal injuries from Avelox® and Cipro®. Mr. Lisak also serves as regional counsel in Baycol® cases, and represents Bayer Diagnostics as national counsel in hCG medical testing device litigation.
Mr. Lisak is similarly involved in the defense of several other large products liability cases throughout the United States, including claims made against Pfizer, Inc. (Rezulin® and Hormone Replacement Therapy), Wyeth (diet drugs), Telectronics Pacing Systems, Inc., and Kubota Tractor Corporation.
In addition to his products liability practice, Mr. Lisak also tries cases in the areas of toxic torts (lead paint) as well as general liability defense. Representative clients include: AIG, Fireman’s Fund Risk Management Services, Inc., Chubb Group of Insurance Companies, Liberty Mutual Insurance Company, Crawford & Company Risk Management Services, Traveler's Insurance Co., United Rentals of Mid-Atlantic, Inc. and the Enterprise Leasing Company of Baltimore.
Mr. Lisak also represents clients in commercial litigation disputes, such as breach of contract. Representative clients in this area include Pfizer, Inc., Nissan Motor Acceptance Corporation and Dentsply International, Inc.
