Kelly Hughes Iverson

PROFILE

Ms. Iverson is a partner in the firm whose practice is devoted to the defense of claims for products liability and professional malpractice. She represents numerous community hospitals, academic medical centers and individual health care practitioners in a wide array of medical and nursing specialties in professional malpractice claims. Ms. Iverson also represents manufacturers in claims alleging injury from defective products and environmental clients in claims alleging toxic exposure to lead and mold.

Ms. Iverson appears regularly before the Circuit Courts of Maryland, the Superior Court of the District of Columbia and the United States District Courts for the District of Columbia and Maryland. She is responsible for all aspects of case management, including development of case strategy, and trial. She has tried several jury trials to defense verdicts and is also responsible for appellate practice, including both written appellate briefs and the presentation of oral argument to the appellate courts.  Ms. Iverson regularly presents to health care providers and hospitals on the topics of avoiding medical malpractice.
